Propolis Skin Care was founded by Stephen's Orchard & Apiary, a family-owned apiary dedicated to producing exceptional honeybee products through sustainable beekeeping and a passion for natural wellness.
Introduced in October 2017, Propolis Skin Care quickly gained a loyal following, with many products selling out as customers experienced the benefits of our handcrafted formulas. Every product is thoughtfully made using premium propolis harvested from our own apiaries, ensuring quality from hive to home.
The Stephen family believes that the best products begin with strong family values, hard work, and a commitment to excellence. Today, we care for more than 300 honeybee hives, providing the propolis that serves as the foundation of our skincare collection.
Our skincare journey began when Karlon Stephen, a retired registered nurse with more than 43 years of healthcare experience, and her daughter, Michelle Duprey, who holds a Master of Science degree and a business background, became frustrated with the harsh ingredients and disappointing results of many commercial skincare products. They believed there had to be a better way.
Combining science, nature, and years of research, they developed a skincare line that delivers gentle, effective, and affordable solutions without compromising on quality. Every Propolis Skin Care product is handcrafted with carefully selected ingredients designed to nourish, protect, and restore healthy, beautiful skin.

The Stephen family proudly manages more than 300 honeybee hives throughout the Kansas City and Lawrence, Kansas, area.
